Hardware Requirement
Advanced Communication's Auction Builder 4.0 requires the same
hardware as ColdFusion Server. It takes additional 10MB of your
Hard Drive space to install. ColdFusion Application Server for
Windows has the following minimum hardware requirements,
according to Allaire:
-
486 processor or higher running
Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT
-
30MB of disk space
-
32MB of RAM
-
CD-ROM drive
Of-course, the real hardware
requirements will depend largely on your individual needs. For
instance, if you are running ColdFusion on your own workstation
for development purposes, you will need far less resources than
running it on a heavily used production server.
As a general rule the system on
which you plan to run ColdFusion should already be running a
Web server quite comfortably under the expected user load. If
you already find that your Web server can't handle the number
of hits you receive, then you can't expect ColdFusion to
perform adequately either.
Software Requirement
To run the Auction Assembler the following software needs to be
installed, configured and running:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 or NT or
2000. Advanced Communications is in process to integrate
Advanced Auction Builder 3.0 with RedHad Linux 6.0 or Later.
ColdFusion: Application Server Version 4.0 or later
Protocol: TCP/IP networking protocol must be enabled on
the system.
Database: Advanced Auction Builder 3.0 supports
Microsoft Access 97-2000, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 as database.
ODBC: The respective database connectivity driver should
be configured to identify which type of database you have and
where is it located.
Web Server: Any suitable server installed i.e. Apache,
Microsoft Internet Information Server, Microsoft Personal Web
Server etc.
