Uploading with Frontpage 98
Go Back
1. Establish an active connection to the Internet.
2. Launch the Frontpage Explorer.
3. From the File menu, choose Open.
4. Select the Web you wish to publish, and click Open.
The web will open.
5. From the File menu, choose Publish Frontpage Web.
6. In the Publish Frontpage Web dialog box, click More
Webs.
7. Enter the following location: http://www.yourdomainname.com
replacing "yourdomainname.com" with the actual name of your
domain name.
8. Click OK. The Web Publishing Wizard will
appear.
9. Leave the FTP Server Name box blank.
10. Change the Directory To "html", or to a specific
directory on the server.
11. Click Next.
12. In User Name type your ITS Group Information Technology
account user ID.
13. In Password, type your ITS Group Information Technology
account password.
14. Click OK. Frontpage's FTP feature will now upload
your files. The upload status will appear in the lower left
corner.
15. Your Web page will appear on our Web Server.
Your web page will be viewable on the web at: http://www.yourdomainname.com,
replacing "yourdomainname" with your actual domain name.
16. The next time you publish, you may choose the option to
upload only changed pages and the upload time will be shorter.
